Critical Reflection in Social Work Education

The webinar will review the main thinking about the place of critical reflection in social work, and also describe a detailed model for its use in social work education. The benefits of practicing critical reflection in this way will be outlined (as seen by both students and educators). The presentation will include some examples of reflective exercises and strategies.



About the Presenters

Jan Fook (BSW, MSW, PhD, FAcSS) is an Australian social work academic who has also lived and worked in the UK, Norway, Canada and now the USA. She is best known for her work on critical social work, practice research and critical reflection. She has published extensively on all these areas and has also travelled extensively internationally presenting her work.
