How to Engage Students in Socially Constructed Qualitative Research Pedagogies

Based upon constructionist tenets, the presenters will offer innovative strategies and practical approaches to actively engage students in qualitative inquiry. The webinar is for instructors who wish to enhance their qualitative research pedagogies and creativity in teaching, and for students who appreciate helpful assignments and authentic scenarios through which they learn and practice qualitative research in a supportive and socially-rich environment.

About the Presenters

Janet C. Richards is a Professor of Qualitative Research and Literacy at the University of South Florida, Tampa and Senior Editor of Literacy Practice and Research Online. She served as a USAID scholar in emerging nations and as a Lansdowne Visiting Scholar at the University of Victoria, Canada. She is listed in the 2022 Marquis Academic Authors.

Audra SkukauskaitÄ— is a Professor for Qualitative Research in the Methodology, Measurement and Analysis program in the College of Community Innovation and Education at the University of Central Florida. Audra’s scholarship focuses on transparency in research, ethnographic and discourse-based studies, and the teaching and learning of qualitative research.
